Back in October 14, 2020, The Sim Network forums had a soft launch and along with it is this fan-made pack for Sims 4. We considered combining them all into one single zipped file available for download on the same day, but eventually decided to release the items gradually and individually instead so people can pick which particular items they want.

Note: Some of these items are already available for download both in the TSN FB Group, but they will also be eventually available too in the forums after the marketing campaign in FB. I'll update this post once the feature posts are available either in the forums or in the individual creators' social media channels/own websites so others who don't have Facebook can discover this pack and enjoy them too!^^
I. Sims 4 Pinoy Stuff Pack CC Items for Build and Buy Mode
The encompassing side-theme for this Pinoy stuff pack is the current modern culture of both Filipinos and other residents here in the Philippines, with just a slight hint of classic influences that we still see up to this day.
PINOY JEEP by Pechay and MadebyPau
We start off with the iconic Pinoy jeepney. First seen here during the American occupation. Filipinos took advantage of these leftovers by the Amercian troops, and now remains to be one of the most inexpensive modes of transportation here in the Philippines.
Sadly with the recent modernization plan that bans jeepneys that are already 15 years and older, as well as the artists being neglected themselves, we see less and less of these iconic jeepney art now as they're being replaced by solid colors, simple embellishment and occasionally, ads.
#notsponsored by Mang Inasal lol but *cough cough* in the future baka naman.. kahit roast chicken lang for each member in our group, chour! |
Also due to game constraints within Sims 4 itself, there's no official way yet to drive around them -- I'm wondering if vehicle display replacement is possible similar to phones used by Sims so we'll get to see the jeepneys moving around Sims 4 towns -- although I realized that might be an eerie sight since they'll be moving without drivers in-game lol!
Anyway.
There's an option for Sims to listen to music especially real-life jeepneys come with loud different jams, depending on the driver's taste in music.
Items & Swatches: 5 items, ave. of 3 swatches each

I made mine here listen to Star Wars. Don't judge me. Just try it. It's epic! (I just recently got the Star Wars pack and now understand why most Simmers hate it, especially the build-buy items -- I feel the same way lol. But the CAS items and the music -- totally awesome! Or maybe I'm just biased, I dunno lol!)
There's also an option for Sims to get in and sit inside the jeepney, I've seen Pechay do it in her FB stories, but I'm still figuring out how to make that work too in my game (maybe I need to download a particular animation, or maybe I downloaded an older version of this CC and that feature might be available in the future? Will need to confirm). For now I only managed some of my Sims to stand inside it.

STREET DECO ITEMS by MadebyPau
Another iconic sight here in the Philippines are the sari-sari stores (aka mini-convenience stores and one of the most common mom-and-pop shops here) lining the streets both in the cities and provinces. Having one is a main source of income for some Filipinos.Sometimes they also have a carinderia or eatery on the side. But usually they sell basic grooming and cooking necessities (like sachets of shampoo, soy sauce and oil), and most importantly cellphone load and snacks!

PINOY CHICHIRYA by Simlyph
Our local popular chips here consist of ones made by John Gokongwei's Universal Robina Corporation with its Jack 'n Jill snacks (i.e. Chippy, Piatos, Chiz Curls), and Carlo Chan's Liwayway Holdings Company with its Oishi brand of snacks.Again, #notspons |
As mentioned earlier, almost all sari-sari stores here sell snacks. But even if you're not building a sari-sari store in Sims, these can still add variety to your Sims diet (albeit, just in theory or imaginary because they currently serve as decor items only. But with some additional modding in Sims 4 Studio, we can replace some food in-game with these).
Being a huge fan of local chips myself (been eating chips everyday as a kid-- don't be like me lol!), my own Sim will definitely enjoy these chips too!^_^

SARI-SARI STORE ITEMS by MadebyPau
To make your Sims sari-sari store more immersive, you can add these items and sell them on retail if you have the Sims 4 Get To Work pack -- something I'm looking forward to do once I finally get to play the Sims version of my own family, and will definitely make either my mom or my S.O.'s mom roleplay and sell those in her own sari-sari store in Sims 4 lol.

TALIPAPA CC by MadebyPau
These deco items can also be added along with the Sari-Sari store items for a more realistic local talipapa (market) feel.

POSTER SETS by Pechay
Speaking of making our builds feel more Pinoy, we have interesting and funny signs that greet Philippine residents when we pass by: from local tubero ads to telling random stranger not to pee on our backyard. We can also add some lore and drama in our gameplay by adding these outside our own Sims home.

JOLLIBEE MENU & PARTY STICKERS by Simlyph
Speaking of local companies, one of the most successful companies and biggest fast food chain here in the Philippines (competing against McDonalds) is Jollibee by Tony Tan Caktiong, with over 1,000 branches now both here and abroad. If there's marketing award locally, I believe it should go to Jollibee's marketing department. With the level of marketing they do-- from social media including Tiktok, to stocks, and even in livestream (somebody tried to unofficially sneak their brand during my livestream once), count them in.
Anyway, celebrating a kiddie party in Jollibee is one of the many aspirations of most kids living here (myself included back then lol, but never had one since my family is from a more modest background). So if you want your kiddo sims to roleplay as celebrating their birthdays in Jollibee (especially doing so is free! lol), these stickers and menu sets are definitely great add-ons.

BAYBAYIN TATTOO PACK by SimmerPatata
Baybayin is an ancient script here in the Philippines before the Spanish colonial era. PINOY HUGOT TOPS version 1 by yours truly :P
Hugot is a Pinoy slang term for instances where one gets certain relatable feelings. CASA MONTERO by Virgofire
Casa Montero serves as a great example of what old Filipino houses with Spanish influences look like. Homes like this are usually owned by upper-middle class to wealthy haciendero families here in the Philippines. Sometimes there are ghost hauntings involved in old houses like this, or a possible duwende or kapre or some other entity popular in Filipino folk lore living in the trees and ground surrounding it.

FILIPINO TOWNHOUSE by Simsofiee
This lot showcases the typical townhouse with Spanish influences here in the Philippines, and sometimes they are part of the gated subdivisions in upper-middle class neighborhoods. If they aren't part of gated subdivisions, they are easily accessible either via jeepneys or tricycles, and the rooms are usually offered for rent to students or employees by its owners.

GASTAMBIDE DORMITORY by Simsofiee
I'm not sure if this dormitory is inspired by a real-life dorm, but this reminds me of an in-house dorm of a review center I attended to years ago, and since Simsofiee just graduated recently, I think this is most likely inspired by either the dorm or review center she went to. Anyways, good luck in the boards!^_^

BARANGAY TABING DAGAT by MadebyPau
This lot showcases the typical scene, not only of a barangay located near a shore, but a barangay in major districts here in the Philippines. It includes details like this solid painted wall featuring the current barangay captain and the councilors, as well as campaign posters around. There's also a basketball court especially since Filipinos love it, as well as the occasional tire on the roof to prevent some roofs from getting carried away by the wind especially during typhoon seasons.
